The Drawing Room is delighted to have Aleix Gordo Hostau join our freelance collective. Aleix is a talented graphic designer, comic strip maker, storyboard artist and allround creative. His vivid artwork stands out and with his experience working for i.e. Vans, Pepe Jeans and Carrefour, we are proud to have Aleix on board. GOGBOT YOUNGBLOOD AWARD 2010
With great pleasure we can announce that our artist Job Van der Molen has won the GOGBOT YOUNGBLOOD AWARD 2010. The YOUNGBLOOD Award best-of-graduates Jury 2010 (Machteld Leij, Gé Huismans and Ruud Axe) chose Job Van der Molen and Daniel Maalman as overal best and were chosen from the best graduation artwork of all Dutch Art Academies in The Netherlands 2009-2010. The Drawing Room and We Transfer
The Drawing Room is proud to announce that we have our own We Transfer page thanks to our good friends at We Transfer. If you want to send large or small files to someone, we now can offer you the perfect solution for it. The background illustration is made by our talented artist Emmi Ojala. Her style fits perfectly with what we are about and soon you will see more of her work. We are celebrating now in style with coffee and cake. Cheers to Emmi and We Transfer!!
Dutch animation in Torino
Just wanted to mention that the short animation films PECKER by Director Erik van Schaaik and the debut animation film Things You’d Better Not Mix Up by Director Joost Lieuwma are selected at the Digital Movie Festival Viewfest in Torino, Italy. KLIK! Amsterdam Animation Festival Programming Director Yvonne van Ulden will introduce the films in person. Of course we are super happy!!
‘Pik’ at Animateka
Slovenia might be a small country but they show great animation at the Animateka Festival in Ljubljana held from 6-12 December. Our animation film PECKER, PIK for Dutchies, is selected for the International Competition Films for Children. Of course Director Erik van Schaaik and Producer Jiek Weishut are delighted. If you want to see the film in Amsterdam and you can’t wait. Why don’t you come to Cinekid!!
Wieshut and Mickey Mouse
With great enthusiasm, Jiek Weishut of The Drawing Room took on the job as a producer for Magness Animations. Jiek will be the animation producer for the new Mickey Mouse product video for Disney. The Drawing Room is proud that he will also be part of this project.
