It took some time but we are happy to announce that The Drawing Room is now a registered trademark. You will probably see a ® sign with the logo designed by Rikkert Nusselder or maybe not. For us it was another reason to pop the champagne.
Early this morning while everyone was still asleep the new website went online of the ultra short film PECKER (PIK for the Dutchies). Director, writer and animator Erik van Schaaik worked the past months into the wee hours to make this gem happening. Together with producer: Jiek Weishut, animator: Patrick Raats, composer: Martin Fondse, clarinets / kalimba: Claudio Puntin, music recording and mix: Chris Weeda, foley and surround mix: Tape TV (Arno Peeters), lighting: Jelle Mulder, clean-up by our favorite intern: Peter Puntman and effect riggs: Adrian Walton Smith (Viz). We still need to do some colourgrading but we are almost there. Of course we will keep you posted where the film will be screened but check out this website made by Anita van Dalen.
New talent Job Van der Molen joined the creative pool of The Drawing Room. His illustrations are colourful, imaginative and expressive. A great illustrator with published art work in books and magazines. We are proud to have him on board and we are looking forward to work with him. Check out his work be clicking on his name!!
Added new work of animator and Illustrator Henning Basler. Based in Hamburg Henning is doing very well!! Following up on his nomination for the Deutsche Cartoonpreis 2009 he is making a great series of cartoons. Worth checking out!! Also two of his films are showing at the 23rd European Media Art Festival in Osnabrueck. If you are in the neighbourhood, during 21-25 April, you should go and see these gems on the big screen. The Drawing Room is proud that he is on his way to the top!!
Take off those warm clothes and put on your shades, Spring has started!! To celebrate we present you the animated short made by our intern Marlieke Kasten. Please visit: Spring!!
