The Drawing Room was asked to create five animations explaining the work of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) vested in the Peace Palace in The Hague (The Netherlands). The animation style is a combination of hand-drawn 2D and 3D CG. In the visitors center in The Hague you can watch these gems in ten different languages.
Sometimes our freelancers are booked and work in-house on Media Markt and Saturn commercials at Marco Klein and Partners. In this case we were asked to take on the complete 2D production from sketch to final.
The Drawing Room assisted the in-house Nike retail design team with developing the re-fit of the Nike Employee Store at Nike European Headquarter in Hilversum.
Our animation feature film Hieronymus is selected for Cartoon Movie 2013 in Lyon, France. Yeeha, trumpet sounds!! For two intense days in March, The Drawing Room will be presenting Hieronymus to speed up financing, find co-production partners and interest international distributors and sales agents. Really looking forward to this event and of course we’ll keep you posted.
The Drawing Room produced together with Lawson & Whatshisname the animation short ‘Super’ by Director Johan Klungel. This beauty was the Dutch entry for the Oscar’s in 2014 and winner of the International Annecy Plus Animation Film Festival 2013. Synopsis: ‘The main character, “Albert”, gets lost in the seductive world of pretty packages. When his frivolous fantasy turns into a nightmare he discovers a different world behind the facade of the supermarket.’
